Comments: Soil Conservation Service Soils Map (02/05/97). The soils data for the Hanford Site was developed through a cooperative effort with the Washington Department of Ecology, Westinghouse Hanford Company/Pacific Northwest Laboratory scientists, the Benton County Soil Conservation Service and the HGIS development team. Data digitized by the Washington Department of Ecology from Hajek 1966 document. Data was then transferred to HGIS team in Washington State Plane NAD27 and single precision. HGIS team converted the data to Washington State Plane NAD83 coordinates. Attributes were determined through end user reviews which included the scientific community, WDOE, and the SCS.
